Period poverty in remote Australia

Women and girls in remote communities across Australia are being impacted by period poverty - preventing them from going to school or work on a repeated basis, placing them at a great disadvantage for opportunities and autonomy.

Your Body Your Way

Period poverty is alive and well in Australia - particularly amongst remote communities.

Geographical barriers, inaccessibility of products, affordability of period care, inadequate toilet facilities, and a lack of consistently clean water means women and girls are missing school and work on a regular basis.

The affects of this compound and result in fewer job opportunities, less education, and poorer mental and physical health.

Reusable period care allows for greater bodily autonomy, improved health outcomes, and greater opportunities for all in remote communities.

2025 marks the beginning of Your Body Your Way's social impact program - Connections

Our goal is to provide a holistic, culturally appropriate, relevant, and comprehensive menstrual education program and product donation to at least (if not more) than 2 remote communities in Australia by the end of 2025.

But we need your help to do it.

We have partnered with communities and school's in Australia's top end to run this program, and working together, we believe we can make a real change to period poverty in remote Australia.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 in our first year, to launch this program and start delivering this program to more and more communities across Australia.

Stay tuned on this page for more updates as they come - let's make 2025 the year to start tackling period poverty in remote communities.
